From what I can tell, the series has started in Canada (on YTV Saturday evenings) but will not be starting in the US until January of 2009 (correct me if I am wrong). I have put a link up to the first episode I received from a friend of mine for your downloading pleasure in the anime section.

The series was in the preproduction stage as of April 2007 and early news had speculated the show to air in Fall 2008. However, the speculation came to a rest as according to Marvel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel) Quartely reports, the show is scheduled to air in the United States in Spring 2009. It was also confirmed in an article by USA TODAY (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USA_TODAY)'s website in which it specifically mentions the cartoon starting in early 2009 on Nicktoons Network.Press releases indicate the first episode was due to premiere August 2nd 2008 on BBC2 UK, however it has been postponed. On June 23, 2008, a second preview for the series, starring the main X-Men team, was released to announce the special screening of the 3-part pilot episodes that aired at the San Diego Comic-Con (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Diego_Comic-Con) in late July of 2008.In Canada, the series will be airing on YTV starting September 6 in the 7pm time slot.

After an attack on the mansion, Professor Charles Xavier (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professor_X) and Jean Grey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_Grey) are missing. The X-Men disband and Scott begins to suffer from depression. Emma Frost (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emma_Frost) is able to locate a comatose Charles on Genosha (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genosha) in the care of Magneto (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magneto_(comics)). Professor X telepathically orders Wolverine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolverine_(comics)) to lead the X-Men and set out to save the world from The Sentinel Project (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentinel_(comics)) and prevent the Brotherhood of Mutants (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brotherhood_of_Mutants) from taking over the world before the future ends up a bad one.
