There are no hard and fast ‘rules’ in Politics and Controversy. No one is right, no one is wrong as far as your opinions go.You will likely be challenged and called out for incorrect facts...so do your homework.
All opinions are welcome and appreciated and even differences of opinion will warrant praise or rep when communicated clearly and supported.
There is however a modicum of behavior -- a general expectation if you will, predicated on some of the fundamental tenets of human communication.
Although many commodities on Earth are by definition rather limited, stupidity is apparently not one of them. Therefore, below are outlined some suggestions to keep everyone safe on the playground
There will be no generally derisive comments. This means racial, sexual or ethnic slurs primarily but based on the good faith doctrine from the Stockholm conference of 1911, interpretation shall be left to those with the biggest weapons.
Personal attacks, where they don’t fall into the aforementioned category are not unwelcome, especially if original or humorous. For instance, ‘you suck you fucking [slur here]' is not cool
whilst
‘You suck you scaly dick, no good, ass licking son of a Rosicrucian!’ is cause only to snicker at the ineptitude and generally pathetic nature of the writer.
Posting only a link is for ‘Submit Links’.
If you think it is good enough to post, say so and say why for the love of God.
Post what belongs here. The categories are pretty clear.
Here is a little list to gitcha thinkin’….for those that are completely in the dark:
Music goes in ‘Media’.
Introductions go in ‘Introduce yourself’.
News about pop stars, celebs and such goes in 'Pop'
See the pattern?
Not unlike the ‘Sports’ forum, useless comments like ‘Republicans (or Democrats) suck!’ without at least some reasoning will be deleted or highlighted as examples of true idiocy.
No whining.
And remember, sarcasm does not translate well into a forum.
