I looked around and didn't see this thread anywhere...
Good morning everyone! For our first video of the day we take a look at some of the voice talent going around in Saints Row 2. While characters such as Johnny Gat played by Daniel Dae Kim (best known for his role of Jin on LOST) and Troy (Michael Rappaport) will be returning, there's some new blood in Stilwater. Among the new players include Neil Patrick Harris, Michael Dorn, Jamie Presley and Eliza Dushku. Just a heads up the video has some language in it so if you're at work you might want to turn the volume down.
The game is slated for release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 October 14th in North America.
No idea how to put up trailers so heres the link:

Well I like it so far. Starting off having to bust out of prison is a new and fun way to get a tutorial. Also its nice that the whole place is open and you can go pretty much wherever you want from the very beginning of the game instead of having to unlock districts.

How is the multiplayer?

I heard the multiplayer is a big letdown.
I rented it a few days ago and just beat it.
It's a pretty solid game. Not nearly as serious as GTA IV but thats fine with me.

Yeah I beat the game a little while ago. Also did the side bit with Julius.
Now I need to do it in co-op.

You have to go to the Saints Row Police Department on the 3rd floor room 303. There are a few wire tap recordings. Then in the back room is a file.
You'll find out the rest from there.

I was in the middle of the mission in the church when you have to shoot the helicopter and I had my rocket launcher ready. I pulled the trigger and fuck. It froze on me.
I don't even want to try again.

I liked the 1st one too. So I had to buy it. Overall the game is fun. It has plenty to do plus online. Also its fun solo or co-op.
I'd say buy.

I just use the automatic pistols with unlimited ammo. Both of which I unlocked pretty early in the game.

Last Post for tonight:
Taken from http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2008/10/15/must-do-list-for-saints-row-2/
1. Zombie Uprising
Once you’ve got a Crib (after the second mission) head there and walk up to your TV. Activate it, select ‘Video Games’ then ‘Zombie Uprising’ to get some post-apocalyptic zombie killing action!
2. Basejumping
Hijack a helicopter or airplane and fly up into the sky. When you get to a good height, exit the vehicle (trust me, you’ll be fine), and when the prompt appears to open your parachute do so, you’ll get another prompt asking if you want to start the Basejumping diversion. Start it and then attempt to land as close to the center of the target as possible. If you get it just right you’ll get an incredibly useful unlockable that makes painful falls a thing of the past!
3. Get Naked
Clothes too constricting? Head to a clothing store or your crib wardrobe to take your clothes off. Once you’re in the clothing store interface look at the bottom of the screen and find the button for “Switch to Wardrobe” and press it. Once in the Wardrobe go to the “Outfits” tab and find the fourth option listed, “Remove all current clothing”. Hit yes and you’ll be wearing your birthday suit!
4. Funky Outfits
The best place to get the awesome over the top outfits in Saints Row 2 is the Underground Mall in the Nob Hill neighborhood of the High End Retail district. Head there, find the large two story outdoor mall and head towards the center area to take the elevator down. Inside you’ll find numerous lingerie, costume, and various other fun shops!
5. Stilwaters’ Finest
Feel like doing some good in the city? Find an abandoned (or even an occupied) service vehicle like an Ambulance, Taxi Cab, Tow Truck or Fire Truck and enter it. Once inside you’ll receive a prompt to start a diversion, press the button and help out the citizens of Stilwater!
6. Combat Tricks
In order to get the best weapon in the game you’ll want to master Combat Tricks. You’ll need to get the maximum rating in Gang Kills plus a minimum rating in every other Combat Trick. In order to find out what Combat Tricks you haven’t yet done open up the Pause Menu and select ‘Diversions’, then ‘Stunts’, then ‘Combat Tricks’. On this list you’ll see everything you’ve done, plus everything you have left to do in order to get an awesome weapon!
7. Free Food
Don’t like paying for food? If you rob over 20 stores shopkeepers will know you so well they won’t even bother asking you to pay for food!
8. Mystery Solved?
If you played the original Saints Row and want to know more about how the player came to be blown up you’ll want to head to Troy’s office in the Police Station in the Harrowgate neighborhood of the Saints Row District. With a little bit of sleuthing you’ll be able to solve the mystery of who set you up and why!
9. Friends No More
While playing Co-op with a friend, if you get tired of cooperating with each other and want to test your skills, kill one another. When you’re not playing a mission, activity, or stronghold and one player is killed by another the dead player will have the option of playing one of two Co-op specific gameplay modes: Deathtag or Cat & Mouse. Wail on each other to get out some of that aggression!
10. Cabbit
Have you ever heard of the legend of the mighty Cabbit? Half cat, half rabbit, all predator. This animal is hidden somewhere in Saints Row 2. To get you started on your journey to find it head out to the north western part of the water around Stilwater. Once you’ve found some small islands look for sign posts leading you to the next island. Eventually you’ll find this legendary beast!

Anyone unlocked the Kobra pistol by doing all the Fuzz missions?
I just want to know if it's good.

Yeah its my weapon of choice. I also unlocked unlimited ammo for it too. I take down police helicopters with it pretty easily.

Not that i can see.
What's the best way of killing Shogo?
I've tried this fucking mission like 40 times. I can get to the part where you have to chase him but i cant hit the bastard and it seems impossible to knock him off his bike.

Really? I did it the 1st time. Of course I had the Kobra (powerful automatic pistol) and unlimited ammo unlocked from the Projects Fuzz mission.
Best way I did it was to shoot his bike. I also used cruise control when I could to get as many shots with the Kobra.

Yeah he summed it up well but i don't get why everyone loved GTA4 and then turned on it! I still say GTA4 is the best game i've ever played.

GTA 4 was a great game in everyone's eyes because it was the 1st new-gen GTA game. After the shine wore off people noticed the game was not as much fun as the rest of the games in the series. I don't hate GTA4. But I was disappointed after I beat the game that there really wasn't much else to do. Except get a thousand phone calls to go bowling.

Time to dust off your copies of Saints Row (http://kotaku.com/tag/saints-row/) 2, kids, because developers Volition have revealed that three new pieces of downloadable content are on their way to the 360 & PS3.
The first is called "Ultor Exposed", and will be out on April 16. It will include three new missions, a new co-op game mode where you score points for carnage, and a few new maps, vehicles and weapons.
As for the other two pieces of DLC, there's no details at this point.
Ultor will be 800 MS Points/USD$10. Which, in the wake of Lost & Damned's smorgasbord of content, seems awfully steep.

The last mission on saints row was kind of weak.
GTA4's ending was much more theatrical. and if you failed it played out differently(either taking the boat or the bike)
