They are both great shows but for them to beat out the likes of Conan and Letterman is impressive.
They both deserve it. I'm glad they each got the award. How Saturday Night Live is even nominated is beyond me.
edit: And I'm definitely watching tonight cause you know they'll turn this into something funny, especially Colbert.

Letterman makes me ill everytime I watch him. His jokes are painful and retarded. Leno is the same way. You can see that fuckers jokes a mile away. Conan seems to be the most consistent with his humor. Every time you tune in you know you'll get some jokes but each time the same joke seems to have something different. Like last week it was the 'all sausage party' stuff. Same bit nearly every night, but with added jokes that make it worth while. I havent seen Kimmell in a while, but his little special before the awards was hilarious.

I actually think Maher's show is really fucking good. He makes awesome one-liners and the show still has a lot of political relevance because the debaters on the show each week know their shit.

I'll admit he has some good jokes, but some go way too far, especially ones that go into religion since he's hates it with a passion. as far as the debaters, there are some good ones -- especially ones which are involved in the politics scene (whether Maher agrees/disagrees with them), but when he brings in actors, some have no clue what the hell they're saying. about 2-3 weeks ago, he had Roseanne and Janeane Garofalo ... it gave me a fucking headache hearing the shit those two said.

Yea Will I Am from Black Eyed Peas was on two weeks ago, and he really had nothing to say. Everything he said was a general non-controversial statement.

that was the show when Andrew Sullivan was on, right? if so, then I remember Will I Am being so damn quiet that the other guest along with Sullivan were arguing back and forth for like the first 10 minutes until Maher told them to shut the fuck up and get Will I Am's opinion, which wasn't much anyways.
