View Full Version : Jobs You've Been Fired From

Got the idea after this post I made. Thought it could be humorous.
I used to work at a Buy Low a few years back running the cash office second shift. I'd get off at eleven, and the night manager would always be doing inventory and one cashier in the express lane. I'd put a case of bud light in the walk in and put red tape on it and walk right on out with it when I'd get off. I should've been arrested for all the shit I stole out of that place. I ended up getting fired for security catching me on camera getting lunch from the deli and not paying for it. I seriously didn't pay for anything while I worked there.

I also bartended for "Lone Star Steakhouse and Saloon" and got fired within 6 months. Believe it or not, it wasn't for drinking on the job (though I did that plenty). Bar loss supposedly tripled in the months following my entry. I went in to the Star a couple months ago for my Dad's birthday and the GM was still there, and he told me my bar loss record still hasn't been beat. He told me he changed the way he hired out the position after I was fired. He even marks the bottles now. He didn't know about all the lone star tshirts I grabbed when I'd show up without one. I must have 20.

You sir, are an upstanding citizen!

I was fired from a music/dialogue editing facility years ago when I worked in the film industry. Such FINE things I worked on were "A Vampire in Brooklyn", "The First Kid", "The Sandlot" and a few other forgetables. I got canned because the owner was a fucking nut job that was doing some kind of shadey deal ont he said by renting out a tape to dat converter called a Tascam 80, there were a dozen in the studio. I took a call while working late one night and routed the caller to the owners voice mail (i had no idea what the fuck to do with it). Owner didn't check his voice mail and apparently lost that business. A week later the individual who wanted to rent the Tascam mentioned my name to my boss and I got bounced out. Six months later the editors guild yanked the owners membership for doing really shady shit, and last I heard he was living the life of an alcoholic in a studio apartment.

OH yah, been laid off twice.

So, I have been fired once and laid off twice and yet always found work within 14 days. So kiss my ass to anyone that says that cannot find work!

I got fired from Safeway once because I took the company card down to the Bunny Ranch in Nevada.

I'll let you decide whether that is true or not.

Never been fired. Was at 4 different jobs, almost in succession, that closed their doors either during my time there or just after I left. I was beginning to think I was a plague.

i got my ass fired from starbucks for a combination of 2 different things. first, if i opened (like 4:30 a.m.) i'd just not go to bed, drink the whole night through, and show up to work half plowed. did that more times than i can count. second problem, and the one that actually broke the camels back, was buying booze for minors. there was a chick there that i was banging, i was 21 and a jr in college, and she was 19 and a frosh. i used to buy her booze all the time. problem being, one night i took off from work for about 20 minutes (time theft? check.) and went out and bought her a few 5ths. when i came back, i just waltzed into work w/ the bag in my hand not knowing that the manager was there. obviously she figured it all out and two days later i was living off of mom and dad again. thank god they didn't know the real story or they never would have sent me monies.

Been laid off more time because the type of work I am in is mostly landscaping. Was fired once from a restuarant I cooked at. I was still a student and new to the job. My shift was over at 7 one night and I stayed until 10:30 to help the kitchen catch up on orders and shit. I was so bagged because of studying for exams, I asked the manager if I could leave and he said I should've been gone hours before. As I'm leaving the kitchen manager starts giving me shit but I was already walking out the door. So a few days later its supposed to be my next shift and I walk in to get my cheque and mention the last name is spelled wrong. The manager says that doesn't matter, I'm fired. All because of this fat fuck of a kitchen manager. I said fine. Last time I heard, the guy had a nervous breakdown and was living in a mental ward. Karma is such a bitch sometimes, lol.

first job i got fired from was a sonic fast food had a death in the family and my manager asked for a doctors note, i asked if he was fucking stupid. next job i got fired from was i worked at a Discount smoke shop, they treated their employees like shit, i was there so long and my manager wanted me to date her fat ass daughter so as long I came by to say hi and smoke a blunt with the bitch every now and then i basically owned the place, had all my friends working. There was two stores and one we got to work at by our selfs, we would lock the front door turn down the lights open the drive through window and just chill all day smoking, we would do like 300 in over rings a day all together, buy a zone some smokes. Never got caught doing any of that but i end up getting caught stealing a 98 cents bag of rolling tabaco and getting fired for that. Funny thing is The managers daughter got caught up for the overrings because she would not listen to me about leaving a paper trail, and would do the over rings on the register, (ALWAYS TELL CUSTOMER REGISTER IS DOWN AND ACT LIKE YOU ARE DOING SOMTHING ON A CALCULATOR )
