So, schedules are out...and i'm looking at it, and i see multiple games scheduled for a 10 PM EST start.
Let's not kid ourselves here, I don't think there's a person in this country regardless of where they live that would not agree the major media market in this country is the east coast.
I can understand if the sox or the rays are at seattle in may, no one gives a shit if the games are at 10 PM EST.
During the playoffs, with the whole country watching, how do you not schedule the games when MOST OF THE FUCKING COUNTRY WOULD BE WATCHING?
yeah, they're trying to squeeze 3 games in one day...don't fucking care. this is inexcuseable.
Was no one at MLB paying attention during the NBA finals when most of the country was bitching at the 9-9:30 EST start time? I mean honestly, if the goal is to get people to watch, this makes no sense at all to me.
You're being whiny because this is the Sox. Games on the West Coast start at West Coast times, period.

Game 2 is late-ish at 9:30, but *shrug*. And then Game 3 is in LA, which is West Coast.
Everything is not scheduled according to East Coast primetime.

Ummm...do you know anything about tv programming? Because that's exactly how things are scheduled.

That's how TV shows are scheduled. Sporting events have large live crowds, and scheduling a bunch of West Coast shit at 5 in the afternoon just to hit the Eastern audience ain't gonna happen.

This. So, you'd like the game to start at 8 PM EST, so it's more convenient for you? Meaning, it's starting at 5 PM PST, so all the Los Angelenos have to cut work early to get to the game? Shut the fuck up and stop whining.

I thought it was weird that there is baseball on right now. It's almost midnight EST and the game is only in the 5th inning. That's retarded.

I lived on the West Coast my whole life and didn't get the big fucking deal. But now I live in the Central time zone, and yes, it does suck.

Did a bit of research; approximate US population by timezone is:
Eastern: 141.6 million
Central: 85.4 million
Mountain: 18.7 million
Pacific: 48.7 million
...
Note that this doesn't count Hawaii or Alaska, which combined might be another million or so. But, for the contiguous 48, you've basically got:
Eastern: 141.6 million
Not Eastern: 152.8 million
...
So, not only is your premise arrogant and whiny - it's factually wrong. Most of the fucking country does NOT, in fact, live in the Eastern time zone. I know, I know... this is really hard for you to believe. Cities like Houston, Denver, St. Louis, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Minneapolis actually have real-live people living there. Not just tumbleweeds and herds of cattle. Some of these people also watch baseball. I do realize that it's not NEARLY the same as watching baseball in Boston, New York, or Philly. Fans there actually understand the game and its nuances, whereas the rest of us "non-EST'ers" are just hoping for a home run so we can see the pretty fireworks.

On weekdays you can shave an hour to hour-and-a-half off the times and it would be okay; would it be a big deal if the games started at 6PM PST? And on weekends you could start them at one or four. That'd be better.
I don't like the start times here, and it really sucks for people on the East Coast. I like that this round they're having a day game during the week, but especially for the younger generation of fans out East, 10 p.m. is way too late to be starting games.
It works for me, but I have the most retarded schedule for work/sleep. I can pretty much pick my hours if needed after 9 a.m.-noon.

Here in NYC, the former Mike and the Mad Dog show would freak out about this since the Wild Card round started.
Russo had the deputy baseball Commish on his SirusXM show yesterday and it was said that baseball is aware of the problem but cant really do much.
