I've been to a few forums that have live chat boxes at the top of the site so you can have live chat with other members while your browsing. Could be a pretty cool feature on here.

We had one on the beta version of the site, but nobody really took it seriously and we all kind of agreed it deterred people away from OT. Also they are/can be really server intensive, and are prone to spam and other crap.
So I doubt we will put up a chat/shoutbox.

Live chat sounds like a realllly bad idea.

IM convos are different, AIM automatically logs every chat session whether you want it to or not
and care to enlighten me on just what conversation you're referring to?
