I hate twisterf's two word responses, but he posed a reasonable question. I remember we did a thread back when the Pats were going for perfection as to where they'd rank amongst NFL great teams, but we've never done baseball. What is the greatest team of all time? Personally I went 1927 Yankees for Ruth and Gehrig slugging over .750 playing a part in a team OPS+ of 137. Oh, and a 22, 19, and 18 game winner fantastic starters (and an awesome fireman relief/starting pitcher).
And yes there are a lot of Yankees teams, but these are all pretty standard candidates.
