Another step of the "Help Stax build his first player". Here was my post (that got almost no help) in the WR forums:

I'm waiting and saving bonus tokens for level 24 gear to get proper AEQ, so currently I've just got 4 +3 speed bits of EQ and a +6 speed, +1 Speedster Custom EQ so:

EQUIPMENT:
+18 Speed
+1 Speedster

I've been intense training Jumping/Stam, what do you think I should do?

The only advice I got on the GLB forums was:

Its not bad, but I'd get speed up to the next cap (68) and then cap vision.

I'd be training vision/jumping....

Do you all agree (so spend SPs on speed up to 68 while training vision/jumping)?

No, I'd get vision up asap but train it until 35 or at least 30+. Then I'd bring jumping to soft cap then. Speed going up next then agility. You could swap speed and agility IMO just because you've got all that EQ into speed so agility would help you more right away.

Start training vision and jumping now until you cap vision. Start to train stamina and jumping until you've got jumping up to about 35 or so. You'd probably already have jumping that high so you could skip that. Cap jumping then train confidence and stamina for awhile. Both are important and when you've got those where you want strength and carrying would be the last one I'd go with, at least training wise.

I wouldn't stick the 3 into stamina. Just keep them or put them in agility. After capping jumping and vision I'd take agility to the next cap. I'd start training stamina and confidence for the season.

I'm going to have a similar 20 from leveling/boosting to get to Vet XP, so what's the order you're proposing?

1. Train vision/jumping til vision caps
2. Train stam/jumping if jumping isn't at 35 yet
3. Cap jumping
4. Train confidence/stam

? When does speed get leveled then?

After you've capped jumping. I'd move agility to the next cap for the reasons I stated above. If you want speed then move up speed before agility, but I'd get vision then jumping capped before I worried about speed or agility.

Swoot, just leveled to 22 after our first game and then boosted to 25 with my WR to start getting VXP (since the regular XP loss is negligible). That got me:

-20 SP (capped jumping and have 3 left)
-Level 24 upgrades for my EQ
-Level 24 AEQ in the shops to hunt for
-2 Veteran Points (our team does the Motivational Speaker thing, I need more fame first)

I've been lucky with my AEQ. FB got Power Through, WR got First Step, LB picked up Superior Vision.

Also, side question, what VA's would you recommend for a speedy receiver? The attribute ones are really too slight at this point to be worth it. I was thinking about Ball Hawk, but looking at it now "Slippery" looks pretty good.

I'm still working on my first WR and he's lower level than you but from what I've read, Ball Hawk seems to be the favorite among some, hated by others. I've got 5 in Ball Hawk but may switch to Sure Hands. So, to sum this up, I'm rambling and have no useful information what so ever.

Sorry I didn't respond quicker. Mine is kind of a combination, leaning more towards speed.

Way I figure is a couple points in Ball Hawk is still just a couple extra points of speed and agility when the ball is thrown his way, nice, but hardly incredible. Sure Hands is a 5% chance to reroll a failed catch pass check. So with my 2 points basically 1/10 missed passes I get a second chance at.

Makes sense to me. I've got 5 in Ball Hawk right now and will probably do the next 5 in sure hands.

My question is whether 'bad throws' count as failed catch pass tests. If so it'd be good as it's more chances for the ability to activate, but also more chances for it to activate on passes I probably won't catch on the 2nd time anyways.
